In addition to bringing Grand Theft Auto V to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, Rockstar Games is working on a new standalone version of GTA Online for next-generation systems. Coming in the second half of 2021, the standalone version of GTA Online will be free for PlayStation 5 users for the first three months of its release. It’s not clear what it will cost on Xbox Series X. GTA Online for PS5 and Xbox Series X will get new updates and special content that is exclusive to the new versions of the game, but Rockstar has not shared any details on what this will be. The same thing happened the last time GTA Online made the jump to new platforms–currently, the PS4/Xbox One versions of GTA Online get new content and features not available in the PS3/Xbox 360 versions.
