Anand Teltumbde release was ordered by a special UAPA court after terming his arrest as “illegal” and “contemptuous” of SC’s Jan 14 order. Teltumbde, a professor and writer on dalit issues, was named as an accused in the Elgar Parishad case but his four-week protection from arrest does not end till Feb 11. Pune police had arrested him at 3.45am on Saturday.
