The finance minister, in a Facebook blog, gave a point-by-point rebuttal of opposition's criticism of the various schemes and policies initiated by the Narendra Modi-led government. "Some who were part of the ideological left and the ultra-left obviously found the new Government wholly unacceptable. Hence emerged a new class of Compulsive Contrarians," he wrote in the blog.
