Data from the National Commission for Women (NCW) shows that 60% of the total complaints about harassment at workplace come from the formal/organised sector, of which a majority are from those working in the public sector. From Jan 1 2013-Dec 24 2018, a total of 3,973 women filed complaints of harassment at work, of whom 2,412 are from the formal sector, while 1,561 from the unorganised sector.
